Welcome to the new iteration of the Forum Storytellers Podcast!

Forum Storytellers: Global Voices aims to engage international colleagues by gathering and sharing information on experiences, perspectives, and approaches to equity, diversity, and inclusion around the world through an inclusive storytelling-based approach. Global voices will be centered from all levels of experience, expertise, and position.

Through an innovative localized hosting approach, this podcast creates a space for collaboration, exploration, and reimagination to address critical issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) and create global understanding in education abroad. Forum Storytellers sought to preserve the stories of education abroad, and share them with colleagues – past, present and future. Forum Storytellers: Global Voices will continue this legacy with an emphasis on EDI.

About Forum Storytellers

Whenever education abroad professionals gather, we learn from each other through the experiences we relate and stories we tell. Forum Storytellers is a project to preserve the stories of education abroad, and share them with colleagues – past, present and future.

Forum Storytellers acknowledges the value of the human side of the education abroad profession, brings to light narratives that might not otherwise be shared widely, and preserves an oral history of the field of education abroad.

Tell us about how you found your way into the field, pivotal moments in your career, lessons that you have learned, challenges you have faced, tales of personal triumphs, and share reflections on the profession.

We seek voices that represent the diversity of the education abroad field, based in the U.S. and overseas, at home institutions, host institutions and program provider organizations.

The Forum on Education Abroad invites you to create an audio recording of your story with the help of an interviewer—a friend or colleague who knows you well. We will archive your interview in the AIFS/AIFS Foundation Education Abroad Special Collection. It might also be included in the Forum Storytellers podcast, which will be available at no cost on iTunes and on The Forum website.
