When does the conference start and end?
The 19th Annual Conference will start with two days of virtual programming on March 14, 2023 at 9 AM PT and end on March 15th at 2 PM PT. This is followed by three days of on-site programming in Seattle, WA on March 22-24. Attendees who register for the full conference will receive full access to both on-site AND virtual programming. Is there a discounted rate for the hotel?
The conference will be held at the Sheraton Grand Seattle. A reduced conference rate is available to conference attendees until Monday, February 20, 2023. The hotel will accept reservations at the reduced conference rate on a space-available basis until the cut-off date. How does transportation work?
- Uber, Lyft, taxi, etc.
- Seattle has a wide variety of transit options, whether you’re looking to travel on land or sea. The Link light rail and Metro Bus are the easiest and most affordable way to get to and from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport via public transit. Other transportation information is available here.
Because of COVID-19, what safety precautions should I expect?
All participants are recommended to be fully vaccinated before attending the annual conference. We will continue to monitor the state, local and venue requirements and update our website. Please refer to our health and safety page to read more about our guidelines.
Can I cancel or transfer my registration if I can’t attend?
You can only transfer your registration to another person who works in the same university/institution. Please see our cancellation and refund policy here.
It is important to note that the Forum does not assume responsibility for any additional costs, charges, or expenses; to include, charges made for travel and lodging.
Will food be included in my registration fee?
Lunch will be provided on Thursday and Friday with coffee breaks. Light food is also provided during the welcome reception.
What should I wear?
The recommended conference attire is business casual. Because hotel facilities can be cool, do remember to bring a sweater or a light jacket.
How do I download the Forum app and platform for conference?
You can access the Forum app on your smartphone or tablet by downloading from the App store or Google Play. Go to this page to download the app and the user manual to get the most out of your virtual experience.

I’m attending virtually, is there a Forum branded Zoom background I can use?
Is the conference under Chatham House rule?
The Forum uses the Chatham House Rule to encourage openness and sharing of information at both virtual and in-person events.
The Chatham House Rule reads as follows:
“When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.”
